Frequently Asked Questions

The name came to me while I was getting ready one morning. I wanted a name that was very clear on what the product is and future products will be. Very clean and clear. This is a box for ladies and specifically ladies that want the best products for their bodies.

LadyBox Boutique Products are made of clean, organic material. We have made sure we do not have any toxic adhesives, fragrance, and anything that will be bad for the Lady Bodies.

Organic vs. conventional tampons - WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE?

Conventional cotton farming is highly pesticide-intensive, responsible for 16% of all the insecticides and 6.8% of all herbicides used worldwide (Source). It destroys ecosystems, poisons animals, contaminates soil and water, and endangers workers. Daily exposure to chemical pesticides and fertilizers with a lack of safety precautions leaves many cotton workers vulnerable to illness and infertility. By choosing to support organic farming pesticides, you help people as well as the planet.

Most conventional tampons are made from non-organic cotton in addition to cheaper materials like rayon and polyester. Rayon is a fibre made from wood pulp; during the bleaching process dioxin is produced, which is classified as a known human carcinogen by the World Health Organization. Organic tampons skip the bleach, which means they contain zero dioxins. The beauty of organic tampons is that they contain 100% organic cotton and nothing else.

Fragranced tampons contain all sorts of chemicals that have no place in a woman’s nether regions. The inside of the vagina is highly permeable, which means it rapidly absorbs chemicals – so much so that it has been rediscovered as a potential route for systemic drug delivery. If you wouldn’t put harsh chemicals on your skin, you certainly shouldn’t be putting them in your lady business

Can you get toxic shock syndrome from organic tampons?

Although cases are rare, it comes down to absorbency and length of use more than it does ingredients. However, non-organic tampons are more prone to shedding their cheap rayon and viscose fibers, which can get left behind in the vagina, becoming a risk factor for infection. Ultimately the risks are small either way, but it’s better to be safe than sorry

LADYBOX TAMPONS & PADS do not contain any additional synthetic materials, which means they are biodegradable and will break down naturally in landfill – along with our biodegradable wrappers and packaging. LADYBOX ingredients, because of its 100% organic coLon, are perfect for people that have sensitive and highly absorbent vaginal areas.

Here’s our step by step guide to inserting your LadyBox Boutique tampons:

- Wash and dry your hands and ensure you only use one tampon at a time.

- Unwrap the tampon by holding the rounded end in one hand, remove the colored tear strip and pull the wrapper from the cord end. Pull the cord out and make sure the string is secured to the tampon.

- Ease your longest finger gently into the cord end of the tampon, flaring the cotton a little.

- With your other hands, open the fold of skin around the vagina if necessary. Gently glide the tampon well into your vagina, upwards and backwards towards the small of the back.

- If you can still feel the tampon, it needs to be pushed in further. The cord should remain outside the vagina ready for removal.
